My business partner, Chanceé Lundy, and I met in 2002 at the National Leadership Conference for the National Society of Black Engineers. She desired to work in the field of brownfield redevelopment and ensuring marginalized communities are not adversely affected. At the time I was working on my graduate thesis on environmental inequity in Washington, DC. Needless to say we were kindred spirits from day one.

In September 2009, which was the middle of a bad economy, Chanceé and I quit our good paying jobs to start Nspiregreen. As a global leader in environmental and urban planning, Nspiregreen will facilitate the empowerment and transformation of every community on the planet. We specialize in Multimodal Transportation Planning, Climate and Resiliency Planning, and Community Planning.

As civil/environmental engineers and urban planners with strong leadership and communication skills, we balance our technical competence with our true understanding of people to create out of the box ideas that facilitate success. While we would certainly engage the established “grassroots,” we think our approach will help cultivate “grass seeds”—empowering people by putting them in control of messaging that is relevant to their everyday lives. We have a relentless obsession to provide the highest quality hands-on involvement and support available.

Three immutable laws direct and guide how we do business:

  • Creativity: We use out of box approaches to assist our clients with public participation and outreach.
  • Nothing is impossible: Our positivity is undeniable. We believe there are no limits to what is possible. To us “impossible” is “I’m possible”. It is this attitude that allows us to inspire innovation.
  • R-E-S-P-E-C-T: We are driven by the fact that we are serving a higher purpose and doing good things for the world. We exploit laughter, fun & enjoyment, yet we do it at no one’s expense.
